Veteran singer/songwriter/musician Causion expresses his deep-rooted love for his birthplace, Antigua, on his latest EP Tropical State of Mind. “Working with Jamaican keyboardist Maurice Gregory (formerly of renowned reggae band Third World) we spent a lot of time thinking about Antigua and Barbuda and what it has to offer the rest of the world,” says Causion of his seven track EP that drops on June 24. “My past projects have featured songs written about my life experiences and situations going on around me, songs about love, culture and heartbreak. So Tropical State of Mind is different from my other releases because it features songs about Antigua.”

On Tropical State of Mind’s title track, Causion’s engaging lyrics convey his deep gratitude for the sun-kissed tranquility of his birthplace: “you don’t know what this beautiful island has done for me, filled with love and energy…holiday smile, basking in the warm sunshine, keeps me laughing, keeps me dancing, feel like a child, gives me butterflies”.
