Causion’s Story
Born in Antigua, into a family where music wasn't a career choice — it was a way of life. Gregory Colin Bailey knew early. He picked the name CAUSION, picked up the mic, and spent the next three decades making sure the world knew where he was from.
He became the first Antiguan artist to perform at Jamaica's Reggae Sumfest. He shared stages with Rita Marley, Buju Banton, Freddie McGregor, Dennis Brown, Judy Mowatt, and Third World across North America, the Caribbean, the UK, and Africa. He headlined the Bob Marley Music Festival in Washington D.C., the Calgary Reggae Festival in Canada, and created the Wadadli Music Festival — a free celebration of Antiguan talent that also fed those in need.
In 2024, the Government of Antigua & Barbuda awarded him the Commander of the Most Precious Order of Princely Heritage — one of the nation's highest honours — recognising a lifetime of music, service, and cultural diplomacy.
Thirty years in. Still creating. Still standing.
Rooted in purpose. Built to last.
Causion's catalogue spans three decades and five studio projects — Time Will Tell, One Life to Live, Stella's Kids, and the Mission in Progress EP — each one a chapter in the same story. His singles Come On Baby and Thank You received extensive radio airplay across the Caribbean and diaspora markets.
In 2022, he began a new chapter with Elite Island Resorts. Antigua Me Come From became an international travel anthem. Caribbean Vacation surpassed one million YouTube views and is widely regarded as one of the best-performing Caribbean music videos of all time. Sunny Day, released in 2025 at Galley Bay Resort & Spa, earned coverage on Business Wire, Yahoo Finance, and Miami New Times.
His 2025 EP Tropical State of Mind, co-produced with Grammy Award-winning musician Maurice Gregory, brought his sound to a new global audience. His 2026 single Feels Like I'm Dreaming — the fourth collaboration with Elite Island Resorts — is available now on all streaming platforms.
More Than Music.
In 2019, Causion was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He fought. He survived. And when he came out the other side, he didn't stay quiet about it.
The Thank You Mission was born from that experience — a commitment to encouraging Caribbean and African-American men to get screened for colon cancer, one of the few cancers that is almost entirely preventable when caught early. Through annual concerts, community events, and candid public conversations, Causion uses his platform to reach the men that institutional health messaging never does.
His message is simple: he spent years ignoring the advice to get screened. He survived. Not everyone does.
The Vision & Partnerships
The collaboration with Elite Island Resorts didn't start as a campaign. It started as a shared belief — that Antigua deserved to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Five releases later, with over a million views and coverage across international wire services, it became the most successful artist-destination partnership in Caribbean music history.
That's the standard CAUSION and the team bring to every partnership. Not advertising. Not endorsement. Genuine creative collaboration that produces content people actually want to experience — and that carries your brand somewhere a media buy never could.
Because at the heart of it, Causion has always believed that the best work serves something bigger than the artist. Every song carries a message. Every partnership carries the island. Every performance is an opportunity to show the world what the Caribbean is truly capable of producing.
That's the vision. And it's just getting started.
